A Midsummer Nights Party (Open to all!)

"If you so choose." she said giggling as she twirled around dancing hearing more music that she was accustomed to hearing.

Sage was glancing longingly at a Fairy playing a lyre so intensely that the world seemed to shut out. His mind was racing, his heart longing to touch the instrument from his child hood.

Christy took the lyre from the fae that was playing it and began to play a soft beautiful melody from it that drew everyone's attention.

Sage leanded aginst a wall. Listing intently to the Princess play the instrument. He couldn't take it any longer and summoned air and earth to form a silver lyre in his hands and turned the Princess's song into a duet of dueling lyres. His song telling the story of his life through the ages. Pain, sorrow, suffering, anger, disappointment, and a hint of hope.

Christy handed the lyre back to the fae she had gotten it from and picked up a panflute playing it along with Delk almost perfectly.

Sage looked at her amused. His eyes asking how she had heard a song he had written before she was even born.

She played along with him causing an almost eerie harmony.

Sage poured his heart into the music. He thought he alone could see the way the air vibrated with the colors of his elements as he played his heart out. He had written the song so long ago he had forgotten who he first played it for.

Christy continued along with him until it ended and everyone was sitting infront of them waiting to hear more.

"How did you know that song?" Sage asked with a perplexed look. "It was a song I had written over fifty years ago. You weren't even born yet." He was stunned by the attention he was getting from the onlookers. He had no clue whether or not any one else had seen the kaleidoscope of elemental magic in his playing.

"I. I honestly don't know." she said looking at him, "It just popped in my head like I had heard it before."

"I thought I saw something coming from my lyre though...." he said perplexed. "It was as if the very elements were guiding us..." he trailed off not wanting to freak any one out. "Any way, you play beautifully." He said with a deep bow to show that he was impressed.

"Not really." she replied. "I don't really play that much ever."
