New Kingdom

A while after the wedding, Larien's belly grew to a much more noticable size that she was pregnant and she knew their time had come to tell her family that she was. She sat up in the bed, her hand softly rubbing her belly as she shook her new husband awake. "Rai, time to get up," she smiled, getting up from the bed.

Rai woke up as she shook him, her hand slipping and landing on his chest with a loud smack, right onto a still healing wound "YEOOWWCH!" the hubrid yelled in pain as he practicly jumped outta bed. "oww!" he said looking down at his still bandaged body "Still healing at a snails pace I see..Damn Angel based Injuries..Oh morning honey"

"Oh, dear, I'm so sorry," Larien said realizing she had hit one of his wounds. She walked over to him, placing her hands on his cheeks.

"Its alright Larien, your hand just slipped" Raito said before kissing her,lightly holding her, the baby kicking him as the two touched

Larien giggled against his lips and placed her hand on her belly. "I think its time we told them," she said. "I can't hide in a cloak forever."

"your right, Its time, and I mean, its not like their gonna know when we actualy concived it." Raito said as he removed some of the bandages from the shallow wounds. "Damn I hate my father...remind me again why I spared his miserable life"

Larien leaned against his shoulder gently. "Because deep down, he's your father," she said quietly. "No matter how much hate you have for him, you couldn't kill him.."

"yeah...That'll change one of these days" Raito said as the hybrid prince held his new wife, his fist clenching around part of her night gown "We should get changed and go downstairs" Rai said changing the subject, trying to forget about his father

"Yes.." Larien agreed kissing his cheek and playfully messing up his hair more. She slipped into a simple green gown with gold trimming since at the moment only her gowns fit her and her growing belly.

Raito had changed into the clothes he had worn on his first day back in his birthrealm, his grey jacket with a red tee-shirt, and his black pants, he walked ofer behind Larien and wrapped his hands around her belly, staying like that for a while before kissing her on the cheek. he then took her wrist "Lets go tell them the old news, but we gotta make it sound new" the Hybrid laughed

Larien nodded, following him out of the room. Maids that they passed going towards the stairs, stared in awe at the princess' belly, gossipping between themselves. The princess looked over the balcony noticing her father, brothers and a few villagers standing in the grand hall talking.

"Morning everyone" Raito said, greeting his new family, then turned to Larien "do you want to tell them or should I?" He wispered

Larien laughed slightly. "I think they can tell, dear," she giggled and looked up at her father. He did not look angry, nor excited. His face was content, looking upon his daughter's face. "Yes, father," she said meeting his gaze. "We're expecting a child." As she was slightly crowded by her brothers and the visiting villagers who wanted to lay their hands on her belly, her eyes never left her father's.

"Be careful, its pretty powerful when it kicks" Raito laughed, watching the small crowd gather around his wife. proud that his baby was already showing signs of strength

Larien winced slightly as the baby kicked when Dorin's hand laid on it, the force of the kick cause his hand to come off her stomach slightly. "Damn," her brother said with a grin. Larien giggled a bit and looked at her father's face again. It had softened. He cleared his throat for the small crowd to move behind the couple as he approached them. He looked between them, his face soft yet stern at the same time. His eyes rested on Raito as a smile glazed across his mighty face as he patted his new son on the shoulder. "I give my blessing," The King said. "May the child be born healthy and live healthy."

"T-Thank you your majesty" Raito said as the king's hand rested on his sholder, he was still unshure on how to greet or talk to his new father in law.

Larien smiled widely at her father as he patted her head. "Son," he said referring to Raito. "You may call me Father now," he smiled walking away and then address the villagers. "Come, come. I'm not finished talking with you, you have an eternity to see them." The villagers praised them with luck as they follwed the king. Dorin and Olwe stood before them with grins on their faces.

"Thank you, all of you" Raito said with a bow as the villigers and the king left. then stared at his two new brothers "ehh? what are you two smiling at?"

The brothers looked at each other and siad in unison, "We know she got pregnant before you two were married." They still had grins on their faces as the princess looked at Rai in shock.

"Wha-What?! H-How!? I thought we did a good job of hiding it.." Raito said, amazed that they hadent said anything to his father in law

Olwe coughed lightly and his face flushed. "My room's underneath yours," and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well was."

"o-oh...and here I thought stone walls were soundproof.." Rai said blushing slightly, remembering the events of the night when it had all happened "sorry about that..You wont tell the k-I mean dad, will you?" the Hybrid prince laughed nervously

The brothers shook their heads. "Not a word." Dorin looked at his sister. "You should go see Rose to see what the sex of the baby is." The brothers hugged their sister and their new brother before leaving. "We're off for knight training, behave." They laughed. Larien sighed, her face flushing.

"ah dont listen to them. their just messing around, do you want to go?" Raito asked, turning to his bride, then held her close, hoping the baby would calm itself for a second

Larien leaned against her husband and smiled. "Would you like to know the sex of the baby?" she asked, her head rested on his shoulder.
