Old Friends

Larien pushed her way through the trees, coming upon what looked to be a golden valley. She smiled, feeling the warm breeze against her face. It had been a while since she had been to Ila, the Valley of the Faeries. She had decided to come and visit an old friend of hers. To let her in on all the new things that have happened and to hear of hers.

Christy was sitting on the outskirts of the valley writing in a journal of hers that she had been keeping since she had went to the "mortal" realm.

Larien drew closer to the edges of the valley. Her emerald eyes mostly searching for anyone, no one particular, just someone. She noticed a figure sitting along the outskirts of the valley, her blonde hair almost blending in with it.

Christy stopped writing and looked up, feeling as if she was being watched, meeting the emerald green eyes with her tri-colored blue ones. She eyed the person curiously, them being too far away for her to tell if she recognized them.

LArien moved closer, and smiled. She had recognized the Fae princess and waved to her.

Christy saw her old friend and got up running towards her still holding the journal in her hand, "What in the world are you doing here?" she asked curiously.

The Elven princess smiled. "WHat?" she said. "I can't come visit a friend?"

Christy held back a giggle, "Only if its me." she said smiling back at the elven princess.

Larien laughed. "Of course," she said, wincing a bit as her hand held her stomach.

"Having problems?" the faerie princess asked curiously looking at her friend, knowing she was pregnant.

Larien smiled, still having her hand on her stomach. "Not really," she said. "It's just that it's a kicker." She laughed slightly.

"I'm a little glad my magic can keep me from getting pregnant." She said looking at her friend, "But at the same time I want a child, but its for the best for now if I don't I think." She smiled sweetly at her, "Would you like to go back to the palace and relax there?" she asked curiously.

Larien nodded. "We have alot to talk about anyway," she said, handing her a painting of a white horse that she had brought with her. "I made you a gift," she smiled. "And I can talk to you without my fiance freaking out over what I'm saying." She laughed.

Christy took the painting and looked at it, "Oh my goddess, its beautiful." she said smiling as she moved to hug her friend, "Yes we do have a lo to talk about so lets start on the walk there."

Larien nodded, hugging the fae princess back. "Let us go then," she said, with a smile.

Christy pulled her wings out and started to fly back but looked back and remembered that Larien didn't have wings and landed waiting for her to catch up to her.

Larien laughed as she caught up with her. "Okay, so maybe if he was here," she said. "I'd have wings." She giggled.

"If who was here?" she asked curiously.

"Raito," Larien said standing next to her. "He's half angel."

"Really?" she said interested now. "I didn't know that."

"Yeah," Larien nodded. "His strong features come from his half wolf side."

Christy giggled at that. "And just where are the baby's strong features going to come from, him or you?" she asked musingly.

"We're hoping for both," Larien laughed, rubbing her stomach slightly. "I hope more for the elf though, for the survival instincts at least. In case something happens to him or I,"

They came into view of the palace and Christy sighed, "Well you know if anything ever happens to you I'd make sure the baby was safe and cared for." she said looking at Larien.

Larien nodded as she looked at her friend. "I know you would," she said.
