Old Friends

"Michael!" she exclaimed excited to see him and then seeing him tangled in the ribbon and the flowers giggled loudly. She moved to start detangling his wing from them.

"Ow," Michael said as one of his feathers twitched as she moved the ribbons. "It was supposed to be a surprise..." He said slightly pouting.

Larien followed Christy to help detangle Michael, giggling. "So, how'd you get here?" she asked.


"I flew," He said sarcastically. "How else you think I got here?"

Christy giggled as she got the last of the ribbon off of him, "Well, I think you showing up wrapped in a ribbon is enough of a surprise." she said smiling as she looked at Larien, "Right?"

Larien giggled and nodded. "Right."

Michael stuck his tongue out at Larien as he scratched the back of his head, holding the bounqet to Christy.

Christy blushed as she took the bouquet of roses and stargazer lillies and smiled, "Thank you." she said looking up through her dark eyelashes. She remembered never telling him that those were her favorite flowers and wondered how he figured it out.

Larien chuckled, stepping to the side to go out of the room. "I'll leave you two alone for a while."


Michael's face was almost as red as the roses she held in her hands and he rubbed his neck. "I....I thought I'd drop by," he said shyly.

"Well I did ask you back in South Carolina to come back here with me." she said her pale white skin as red as the strawberries that still sat on her coffee table.

"Do..do you want to come in here?" she asked curiously. "Its better than..yeah..its better than being in the hall."

Michael smiled and nodded. "But... only if you want me to." He said.

"What do you mean only if I want you to?" she asked looking at him. "Would I have asked if I didn't want you to?"

She closed the door behind him giggling. "This is just the sitting room." she said looking at him and then down, "I know its not a lot."

"Yeah," Michael said looking around, but he didn't sound rude as he said it. "Though... out of how many rooms?" He laughed.

Christy looked and said as if it were nothing, "In this suite five including the closet." she replied looking at him.

Michael looked at her as if he were about to fall over. He had only seen his sister's house and thats a three bedroom with a basement. "You really need that much room?"

She grabbed hold of his arm and pulled him through another door and into the walk in closet that was bigger than the sitting room. It was filled with dresses, jewels and other clothes that she felt like wearing, "See."

Michael jumped looking around the room. He hadn't seen so many dresses, well, of anything for that matter, in his life. He folded his wings so not to knock anything over.

"What?" she asked looking at him curiously.

Michael shrugged looking over at her. "You don't want my clutzy wings to knock over any of your jewels do you?" he askd.

"It isn't like I don't have more lying around." she said giggling. "But I need to talk to you if we're going any farther than what we are." she said pulling him out of the closet and into another sitting room that was a large couch that the back was adjusted to accomodate for wings. "Sit down." she said looking at him.

Bossy little thing, Michael joked inside his head as he sat down looking up at her. His wings folded and slowly dispersed. "What is it?" he asked.

"Well.." she said looking at him, "If we continue were we're going you need to know somethings." she sat down next to him and looked down at her hands that rested prettily on her lap. "My parents are the Green Man and Queen Mab and with that I have stronger magic than most other fae...One of them is the fact that I can't get pregnant without willingly wanting a child."

Michael looked up her, the less stunned look on his face than he thought he'd have. He thought for a moment before saying anything. "Would you ever want one?" he asked, his eyes meeting hers.

She looked at him blushing, "Yes." she said. "One day."
