Faded Memories

Larien swallowed what little breath she had. "Wolvesbane..." She said, glancing back at him. "I noticed it after you fell asleep."

"Yes," Larien said quietly as they approached the castle. She carefully got off the horse, ignoring the wince of the baby. Her brother, Olwe was returning from his daily ride as she helped Raito off. He quickly dismounted from his black horse and rushed to his sister's aid by throwing one of Raito's arms around his shoulders so she would not bare all the weight.

"What happened?" Olwe asked as they walked him up to Larien's room.

"We accidentally sat near a poisonous plant," she said, wiping her hand across Rai's forehead. "He got more of the brunt then I did."

Her brother had worry written all over his face, but ignored asking further questions as they lay the half breed on her bed. "I'll come back later to check on you," Olwe said before leaving the room while Larien laid a cold cloth on Rai's forehead.

"Thanks, I can breath alot easier now" Raito said laying on the bed, feeling the cloth lie on his forehead, the castle air cleaning out his lungs, "On the bright side I can feel my legs again" he laughed, slightly coughing

Larien smiled, kissing him lightly as she got up going over to her herb cabinet. "Since you're usually not paying attention when I do my magic," she said setting her mixing bowl on the floor and poured a mixture of herbs and liquids into. "You'll get to see me this time."

"awesome" Rai laughed, watching the princess Mix the contents in the bowl. "so what exactly is gonna happen?"

"You'll see." Larien stood over the bowl as her fingers glowed the blue light again as something shimmered within the bowl. She spoke in elven quietly, her eyes turning a light violet.

"coooooooolllll" Rai said as he eyes turned purple. then looked at the bowl, expecting something to happen

The ingrediants swirled together, changing from a dark, green color to a more soothing tan color that almost made them look like cake batter. She smiled making shapes of animals within the mixture.

"Animal crackers?" Rai laughed, slowly sliding up, leaning his back on the cold stone wall as Larien mixed the cure "there gonna be frosting on them too?"

Larien laughed as the mixture stopped and settled down. "What are crackers?" she asked picking up the bowl and pour the mixture into a glass. She handed it to him and smiled. "It'll taste like honey."

"Oh you have SO much to learn" the hybrid laughed, taking the cup, then drinking the contents, it taseted like Honey and flowers, coating the inside of his throat as it went down.

Larien smiled, crawling in bed next to him. "Now all you have to do is sleep and you'll be fine," she said kissing him, her upper body slightly leaning over him.

Rai held her in his arms, then kissed her on the cheek, then felt an ememse pain coming from his tail bone "AHHH!!!!!" He yelled, letting go of Larien and started to writhe in pain, flipping onto his stomach, grabbing his waist, slightly pulling down his pants, showing a small bump growing larger from his tailbone. "What the hell?! AHHH!"

Larien's eyes widened and she put her hands on his shoulders. "What's wrong?" she asked, getting frantic again. "Are you all right?"

Before Raito could reply, a long, black wolf tail, with a red stripe down the center popped out of the bump, slightly wet with blood and body fluids. "Owwww!!! Man that hurt!! What the hell was that?!" Raitos said, his face buried into the cusion, his hands had torn the pillowcase and the pillow itself, feathers imbetwene his fingers

Larien got up from the bed and grabbed a towel off her vanity, wrapping it around his new tail to clean it off. "You got a tail!" she slightly giggled.

"W-What?! Realy!" the hybrid said excitedly, his new tail wagging about, sending the leftover body fluids onto Larien, then got up and looked at her "oops..sorry" he laughed, looking around his sholder, seeing his newly formed tail "It finaly grew in!!" Raito said jumping around happily.

Larien laughed and wiped her face with the dry side of the towel as she watched him jumped around. "When was it supposed to?" she asked.

"anywhere from when I was born untill I was about 4. I guess it took longer for me because Im a halfbreed" Rai said, his pants accidentaly falling because of his tail, "holy crap...My pants are down arnt they?" Raito said feeling a slight breeze, and noticed Lariens face became flushed

Larien laughed and nodded. She patted the space in the bed beside her. "Why don't you just come to bed?" she asked.

"Ok" Raito said as he blushed, pulling up his pants, and walking over to the bed, where he then got under the covers

When he got in the bed, Larien cuddled against him and laid her head against his chest.

Raito cuddled against her as he lied in the bed, the comferter seperating them, he pulled off his shirt, feeling more comfertable "I love you, and I cant wait till we can tell them about the baby" He softly wispered into her ear

Larien smiled, tracing her finger on his stomach. "I love you too and me either," she said her eyes closing, but not yet falling asleep.
