Faded Memories

"I could have done something! When Im in my Lycan form, If I scratch someone with my claws, soaked in my own blood, they would turn into a Werewolf, Not exactly a Lycan...but still, he would have lived alot longer" Rai cried, it had been a while sence he had let it all go, but he felt safe in her arms "and your right. He'd be ashamed of me right now.." the hybrid said getting up, then pulled out Hades and pointed the barrel into the sky "This is for you old man!" He yelled fireing off 6 shots almost simultaniously

LArien watched him shoot all 6 before standing up and wrapped her arms around him. In a half joking tone she asked, "Feel better?"

"Yeah......Yeah I am....." The hybrid panted, looking up at the sky, "hope your watching me old man.. Im about to do everything you said I couldent"

"Calm down," Larien sat sitting in the grass again, but pulling him into her arms. "People are going to look at you like your crazy," she teased him as she held him. "I'm sure he heard you."

"Ok...wait...what people? were in the middle of a forest sortof..." Raito said looking around, then up at the princess "you have a taller torso then I do..." He laughed, feeling like the shorter one for a change

LArien giggled a bit looking down at him. "Elves are generally taller than other beings," she smiled. "You just happen to have longer legs then me." It was new for her, usually she was the same height as other men she had seen. For some reason, it felt good to be smaller.

"heh, you should have seen me the first time I saw an elf, I always thought they were like how the Humans described them" Raito said, looking back up, he was usualy happy feeling alittle taller, but he didnt really mind now "you do know how most humans picture your race right?"

LArien shook her head. "I've never met a human before," she admitted. She was adventourous of the royal family, but never ventured as far as her brothers.

"we'll have to fix that, its an interesting place, the human world, oh and to them, elves are little people about a foot to 2 feet tall" Raito said, leaning back into her chest. "But yeah, The human world is amazing, 2 words, Indoor plumbing..Its crazy"

Larien wrapped her arms around him. "Hmm, I'd like to see the human world," she said. "Though why so little? Elves are the guardians of the forests."

"I dont know, there was this one author who got it right, but popular culture mostly blames it on a person called..Santa Claws...I think..he has "elves" that make toys in his workshop for delivery around the world in one night, and the pictures in the story books show tiny old people with pointy hats, ears and shoes with long grey beards..." Raito Laughed nuzzling against her. "I'll take you there someday if you want"

Larien nuzzled him back slightly. "Sounds like dwarves to me..." She said as he told her.

"Yeah maybe so, But still, they call them elves, to them dwarves are about 3feet tall, and scottish" Raito explained. "Oh! and electricity! its awesome, remember how hot some nights in the castle are?"

Larien nodded. "But I like it that way," she said, completely confused about what he was talking about.

"Well I mean when its durning the summer, you know when its about 110 degrees in your room. Humans have this thing called AC. it keeps the temperature at about 70" Raito said, before yawning, feeling really tired, almost dozing off in her arms

"I like the heat though," the elven princess slightly pouted and glanced up at the setting sun. "Wow we've been out here a while."

"well its kind of tough on us Wolves.." Raito drowzily said. Yawning after he had finished "something about this place makes me feel alittle sleepy" he said before falling asleep, not noticing the small patch of Wolvesbane growing accrost from them.

Larien smiled looking down at him and her eyes caught a shade of purple growing across of them. She lifted her head to see the plants growing only a few feet away from them. She felt her instincts cause a slightly tighter grip on Rai. Her left hand held slightly towards the plants, she whispered quietly in elven. "Melia illa sor malik," her words were quiet and her fingertips glowed a light shade of blue as the plants slowly twisted changing in form.

Rai slowly stirred from his sleep "Huh? wha..what happened? all I remember is getting really tired, then it getting alittle hader to breath.." he said, seeing her left hand pointed to a changing plant

The blue mist slowly faded, revealing blue lillies amongst the tall grass. She sighed in relief as he woke up and she kissed his head. "I think your just ready for bed," she said as her fingertips were no longer blue and she dropped her hand.

"Oh..alright...should I fly us home if I can" Raito said strangely not being able to feel his legs "Ok small problem...cant feel my legs"

Larien gently rubbed his leg with one of her hands. "It's okay," she said and turned her head towards the village. She made a soft whistling sound that almost sounded like a bird call. "Remember her?" she asked with a smile as a white horse appeared in the grass, stopping before them and stamping her feet.

"Oh yeah, bet she doesnt recognize me" Raito laughed, knowing her hand was on his leg, but didnt feel it. "It feels like i just got poisioned or something..." he said with a small cough

"You'll be all right," Larien said trying to hide the worry in her voice. "I'll give you one of my remedies when we get home." She pulled him up, with the help of the horses and helped him onto her back. "Just hold on." She said, slightly letting fear sound in her voice as they walked around the blue lilies.

"Oh...Ok" Raito said, weekly wraping his arms around her waist as they headed home, "Larien, what exactly was that stuff before you transformed it?"
