Faded Memories

Larien cried into his shoulder. "You could've at least said that!" she looked up at him, tears in her emerald eyes. "You scared me to death! I thought you weren't going to open your wings because of the water!"

"I know, But I didnt have time, the branch was going to snap in half. Im sorry I scared you. I hope I didnt have any adverse effects on the little one." Raito said, holding Larien tight, whiping the tears away with his free hand, then kissed her "I love you Larien."

Larien kissed him back leaning against him. "I love you too."

Rai gently got up, Lifting her with him. "you gonna be ok now?" Raito said, looking into her eyes, whiping the last tear from her eyes

"Yeah," Larien mumbled slightly, laying her head against his chest.

"alright then, would you care to show me around where our wedding is going to be?" Rai laughed, holding her tight, wraping his warm wings around her body

Larien smiled, looking up at him. "Really want me to?" She asked. "Or do you want to wait till the wedding day?"

"Well Its really Up to you" The hybrid said, finaly realizing how much taller he was then the elven princess, dispite him being younger

"I wanna wait," The princess smiled looking up at the half-breed. Her mother probably would've killed her at first if she knew that he was younger than her by 7 years in that of human, however, age really didn't matter to elves when really she was over 200 years old.

"alright then, where too now?" the hybrid laughed, smiling with his usual goofy smile, wraping his wings around them tighter, so that his wingtips were touching the other wing's base on his back

"Still wanna take that walk?" Larien smiled coyly as she wrapped her arms around his neck and her body pressed tightly against his.

"Yeah, I think I would" Rai said before kissing her lightly, still holding her tight, then remembered about the baby and loosened his grip alittle

Larien kissed him back and ran her hand down his cheek. "You know," she said her lips inches from his. "It won't hurt the baby," noticing his grip had loosened. "It won't hurt it till my belly gets bigger."

"alright then" Raito said, tightening his grip back up, and kissed her again, only this time deeper than before

Larien kissed him back, her body pressing tightly against his.

"think we should save this for tonight?" Rai laughed, breaking the kiss and looking at the princess

"Only if you want to," Larien teased, pulling from his embrace and leaning against the tree.

Rai dispersed his wings and sat afew feet from the riverbed, not wanting to fall again, then laied down and watched the clouds."Yeah I think we should save the intense stuff until tonight..." He laughed, watching a dinosaur drive a car over a giant sandwich in the clouds

Larien sat next to him watching birds disappearing and reappearing within the clouds.

Raito sighed "I used to do this all the time with Shigeru.." Rai suddently was visited by an unwanted memory, tears starting to roll down his face and into the soft grass

Larien noticed the tears and leaned over him, gently wiping his cheeks with her hands. "It's ok," she said kissing him softly.

"I know..The man was 93 when he went...but still...in my years thats about 18... I guess Humans dont age as gracefully as we do...huh?" Raito said looking over, then kissed her softly "and I cant help missing him...The man was like my father...not my biological father mind you...but..you know..."

"I know," Larien said, stroking his face with her hand.

Raito rolled onto his side and burried his face in her lap, tears still falling from his eyes "Its not fair! why couldent I bring myself to turn him into one of us?!" He yelled, slamming his fist into the ground behind them, making a small crater about 2 feet in diameter "He would still be alive!!"

Larien cradled him in her arms as he cried. "Rai, you couldn't have done anything," she whispered. "He was human, his time had come. You are not at fault for that. He wouldn't want you being like this, and you know it."
