Faded Memories

Raito climed up the other side, then slid onto the branch above her, wrapping his legs around the branch, swung down a few inches from her face "Hi Larien" He laughed

Larien jumped a little bit and giggled. "Hi," she said kissing him though he was upside down.

Rai dropped his guard as she kissed him, causing to lose his grip, falling out of the tree

Larien giggled a bit, kneeling next to him.

"So how was my dismount?" the hybrid laughed, lying on the ground, he hadent fell that far so there were no injuries. "Dammit...I wasnt planing on that" he laughed, Scratching the back of his head and blushing slightly "where too next princess?"

Larien smiled getting up. "There's a river behind the trees," she said. "And no, we're not going swimming. The currents are too fast."

"Ok then, lets get going" the hybrid said, picking himself up and dusting off, "so what are we gonna do there?"

Larien smiled as she stopped at the river bank which revealed another valley cept covered with cherry blossoms.

"oh wow...You shure know where to take a walk" Rai laughed as he made it to the river bank, looking over the valley below them "hey I got it, How about here? That cherry blossom grove?"

"Thats just it," Larien smiled. "We're on the border of the Village of Light."

"wait...and thats supposed to mean to me......what exactly?" the hybrid said, his ears drooping down slightly, not knowing what she ment

Larien walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his left arm. "I wanted the wedding at Milea, the Village of Light, remember?" She smiled, the window blowing her blonde hair across her face.

"Oh yeah! right, I kinda forgot. So..is it gonna be here?" The hybrid asked, his ears perked up in excitement, looking over the bueatiful landscape before them, then looked back at his partner before walking closer and takeing her hand in his

"Rai! The water!" She said as his foot came inches from the rushing current.

"Oh SHIT!" Rai yelled as the soil under him gave way, letting her hand go. then getting rushed away by the fast moving current, and dissapeared under the surface 'Damn! I need to get outta...whats that sound' he thought turning around, to see the water dropping off of a steep clif "Crap!" he bubbled, scrambling up to the surface

"Rai!" Larien yelled, running down the river bank alongside him. She noticed the cliff and her eyes widened slightly. She ran, grabbing a hold on to a tree branch, and swung herself onto it. She reached her free hand out to him.

"Larien!" Raito yelled as he reached for her hand, but the water causing his grip to give, then went over the falls

"Noo!!" Larien cried as she grabbed his wrist, holding him above the falls. A cracking sound came from the branch as the princess drew closer to the water.

"Larien let go! You'll be pulled in too!!" Rai said hearing the branch snap, knowing it was almost at its breaking point, which would pull her in too "Trust me, I'll be fine! when have i ever lied to you?"

Larien hesitated before letting out and the branch pulled back before snapping over the grass.

"I love you" the hybrid managed to say before going over the falls

Tears ran down Larien's face as she sat on the ground. Her hands lay helplessly in her lap.

"Awwww..whats the matter?" Raito's voice came from above the falls "what? did you forget who I am?" he laughed abit, before softly landing infront of her, and held her close "I told you I'd be alright" he wispered softly in her ears, letting her cry on his sholder

Larien's eyes widen as he came in front of her and she practically tackle hugged him onto the ground, burrying her face in his shoulder.

"Its alright" Rai said laying on the ground, holding his elven fiance "Im here, Im fine I didnt mean to scare you, and the reason I told you to let go is because I would risk my wings getting wet if I tried to rescue you, and you know what that does.."
